Ahoj! I am Martina.
I've been taking photographs since I was a child. I grew up in northern Bohemia and then went to Prague to study Czech language and literature, where I also started teaching Czech. In the meantime I have photographed weddings, film festivals, theatre etc. and found a few families who still let me photograph their children and watch them grow up.
During the covid pandemic I decided to move abroad. At the end of this summer I'll be finishing my Masters in Slavic Studies at the University of Heidelberg. In addition to my studies, I work as a translator (Czech-German) and as a student assistant at the University of Education Heidelberg. You can speak to me in Czech, German, English and Russian.

Now I am hyper-focused on my master's thesis: Expulsion as a theme in non-conformist Czech literature. I also like to dive into psychology literature and the water in the swimming pool. I ride a longboard and inline skates. I'm interested in analogue photography, I write diaries and prose poems and I am painting for myself. I listen to music (a lot), especially Paul McCartney. My mornings don't start without coffee and a news podcast! I would love to travel the world and going to concerts.
Working with texts and languages is my passion, where I am both creative and precise. I also love stories told through photography and literature.
